We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our team and provide a person centred, needs led service to adults with a learning and/or physical disability at both Blue Cedars and Tall Oaks, Farnborough, Hampshire.

As a Senior Support Worker will be required to assist with all activities of daily living and support the residents to participate in a range of activities within the home and community. W use a person-centred approach focusing on supporting people to make their own choices, follow their own interests and gain independence. We empower people to choose how they want to live their life.

Main purpose of the role of Senior Support Worker

  • To support the Home Manager in ensuring the smooth running, organisation and management of the home.
  • Ensure good team working through a balance of skill, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Lead the shift ensuring staff deliver person centred practice and meet the individual care plan needs and wishes.
  • To support the Home Manager in ensuring that each resident has an up to date, comprehensive, individualised and structured programme of relevant, age-appropriate in-house and community based activities.
  • Promote good communications between staff, residents and their families or representatives.

About the Services

Tall Oaks and Blue Cedars are in close proximity of each other in Farnborough and therefore this role would require support at either home.

Tall Oaks and Blue Cedars both provide residential support and accommodation for up to six adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism, sensory impairments and complex needs.

Staff at both services have shown proven effectiveness in contributing to the quality of life of the residents, whilst maintaining a comfortable and friendly environment.
