Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.


Senior Clinical Psychologist

(Permanent, Full time)

Eating Disorder Team


Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service to defined catchment areas residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. An opportunity has arisen for a senior clinical psychologist to join the specialist eating disorders team based in a purpose-built clinic in Mount Carmel, Rathgar. The successful candidate will have access to world class facilities and expert external and internal supervision, ample training opportunities alongside being part of a large and active psychology department. The successful candidate will work within a cohesive, committed consultant lead multidisciplinary team, guided by a strong, evidence-based model of care. In addition to the duties outlined below the candidate will have responsibility for routine patient reported outcome monitoring.


Role Summary & Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will be flexible, committed and possess:

 

 A recognised post graduate qualification in Psychology and meet the PSI guidelines for employment as a clinical psychologist in the Irish Health Services.

 Evidence of eligibility for senior grade position (those approaching eligibility in the next 5 months will be considered)

 Post qualification experience of working in CAMHS and proven skill in standardised neurocognitive and psychological assessment and psychological therapy with children and adolescents with mental health disorders.

 Knowledge and expertise in assessment and support of co-occurring neurodivergence.

 Experience of working with children and adolescents with eating disorders

 Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.

 Competency in data collection and analysis, including use of SPSS and Qualtrics.

 An ability to manage workload, perform under pressure and achieve deadlines.

 An ability to undertake and complete projects in relation to innovation and improvment in service delivery.

 Experience in professional and clinical supervision of junior colleagues and trainee clinical psychologists

 A high capacity for responsibility together with excellent organisational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills with an ability to supervise and prioritise the workload of supervisees.

 

Remuneration

Salary Grade 367Y PSYCHOLOGIST, SENIOR CLINICAL on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale

€93,731 - €110,175 per annum pro rata

 

Initial location

The initial location of this role is in Rathgar, Dublin 6. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CAMHS other places of business or/and the premises of such associated companies or organisations as SJOG CAMHS may require. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
