Role - Quantity surveyor 


To provide commercial support to project teams, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and Liaise with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues including agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments.


Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level.
  • Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place.
  • Carry out cost management including forecasting Update the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans.
  • Help ensure that internal commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit.
  • Actively seek to improve processes and procedures.
  • Hold a good understanding of the processes and procedures used by any JV/Alliance that the business are working within, and assist in their development and improvement
  • Help ensure that any main contracts entered into have terms and conditions that are appropriate, with commercial risks identified.
  • Ensure that the supply chain are engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions.
  • Build and maintain good client relationships.
  • Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting.
  • Prepare applications for payment Liaise with the client, client representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and additional payments Internal relationships.
  • Contribute towards effective interaction between the Commercial Team and the operational site teams.
  • Work with site management to forecast predicted spend and cash recovery and ensure that both are kept in line with target Share best practice with others and be proactive in advising site teams on costs and management of them.


 Qualifications /Experience Required / Person Attributes

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Previous experience in the role or junior role.
