Sheridans Cheeesemongers are seeking a Retail Merchandiser who can work independently across our self service retail locations in the Dublin area.

The position will involve managing stock and maintaining the appearance of these locations, among other responsibilities detailed below. The successful candidate will be provieded with a company vehicle to facilitate this work.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Retail Merchandiser - Sheridans Cheesemongers

DEPARTMENT: Retail

1. Scope of Position

The role is across multiple locations. The employee will maintain product merchandising, stock levels, cleanliness, and consistency of display in the style laid out by their line manager. They will be provided with a company vehicle to facilitate working across multiple locations, and transport of stock.

2. Key Responsibilities

       Drive between our 'Sheridans Wall' locations each workday.

       Ensure that the Sheridans retail outlets are merchandised and presented in a visually attractive way with a focus on customer needs.

       Where appropriate, engage with customers in a positive and friendly way in accordance with Sheridans' customer service policies.

       Driving time is included in worked time.

       The employee will communicate regular updates to their line-manager.

       At the locations the employee's responsibilities will include:

Monitoring stock levels;

Ordering stock to maintain recommended levels using simple online application;

Maintain cleanliness of locations as per H.A.C.C.P. plan;

Conducting a daily spot clean and weekly deep clean on chill and ambient;

Regular merchandising to maintain appearance of display;

Stock rotation: rotate existing product by date;

Shelf restocking: ensure that the site Wall is adequately always stocked with appropriate products;

Transportation of excess or short-dated stock to locations where it may be discounted and sold, avoiding waste.

As required: set up and run tastings of our products to aid sales focuses.

4. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

      1 years' experience in a similar role desirable but not essential

      Full clean driver's licence, valid in Ireland.

      Awareness of HACCP/Food Safety in retail.

      Organised and calm in a fast-paced environment. 

      Available 5 over 7 days including weekends and evenings to support business needs.
