ABOUT THE ROLE

Work collaboratively with Principles, Category and Customer Teams forecasting volume by SKU/customer focusing, reviewing base sales, promotional volumes, NPD, Delists etc.

Place purchase orders in accordance with agreed terms and guidelines as outlined by the Principle.

Reporting and measurement of forecast accuracy both inbound and outbound monthly, identifying key drivers impacting the accuracy. Distribution of report to Principles and Senior Management. 

Support annual planning for Principles and the business.

Manage overall inventory stock holding in line with KPI targets, and report weekly.

Aged Stock Management, input into weekly report identifying stock at risk with key stakeholders, creating clearance plans to reduce costs associated with stock loss, and ensuring the cost to clear is understood and allocated against the Cost holder.

Support the Senior Demand Planner on Repack submission, ensuring accurate submissions based on up-to-date product information are made on time, the associated charges are then followed through to ensure billed to the correct cost holder.

Support the Senior Demand Planner on Weekly reports on KPI metrics, for Principles, Category and Senior Management team.

Manage in collaboration with our customs agent any inbound loads coming to Ireland from outside the EU.

Input into Team & Cross Functional Meetings relating to stock management & forecasting. 

Support the Senior Demand Planner on the Demand Planning Process, monthly internal and external meetings. 

Supporting and influencing setting and delivery of commercial KPIs.

QUALIFIATIONS /SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

Third level education would be a benefit.

Excellent working knowledge of D365 & SAP. 

Knowledge of Microsoft office and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

An understanding of forecasting tools and ERP systems.

Understanding P&L's and the key drivers they can influence.

How to set a course and influence the divisional team to implement.

Customs regulations.

EXPERIENCE

Demand Planning experience in FMCG either directly or via a national distributor ideally in a lead role.

Working in an excel based business transitioning to best-in-class systems is an advantage.

Will have demonstrated people results - influence.

Resilience & persistence - based on experience of delivering results in challenging and fast passed environments. 

Experience in working as part of a S & Ops process is an advantage.

Has demonstrated good people results with an eagerness to further develop people management skills. Can show effective experience and influence in large and matrix organisations.
