Job Summary

Italicatessen UK have vacancy for Warehouse Supervisor in our busy Warehouse based in Brentford, United Kingdom.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the role is to supervise and assist in the efficient execution of all warehouse operations:

 

Goods In, Loading, Put-away /Production Transfers, Pick and Pack, Out loading and Returns, stock counting/rotation, waste control, food safety compliance.

This is to be achieved through the delegation of tasks to various trained team members over a morning and afternoon shift. Duties include administration, compliance with company policies and procedures and relevant Health & Safety legislation.

 

This position requires a degree of flexibility as it involves shift work between the hours of 05:30am and 9:30pm. It also does involve weekend work on a rotational basis.

 

Picking and Dispatching orders

  • Ensures that relevant warehouse and stock control procedures are routinely scheduled and practiced.
  • Prioritise work tasks and lead the warehouse team in task accomplishment.
  • Communicate and motivate the warehouse team to ensure the orders are executed on time.
  • Works with the Warehouse Manager to make sure all staff get required training and development.
  • Gives input and provides knowledge to the warehouse and administration teams to execute tasks effectively and accurately and ensures all training records are kept up to date.

        Ensures the warehouse team works safely and organises and reports to the quarterly Health & Safety meetings. Raises any concerns and recommends solutions to problems.

  • Ensures all new colleagues receive the appropriate training and support to commence their role.

        Ensures new colleagues are trained adequately in Health and Safety and safe working practices.

        Communicates with management in relation to external training required for new starters.

 

 

The ideal Candidate requirements

 

Education/Skills/Experience

 

  • At least 3 years' previous end to end warehouse experience.
  • Awareness and understanding of the food industry and warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Ability to plan, organise and co-ordinate activities in fast moving work environment.
  • Ability to delegate to and engage team members.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • A highly motivated, self starter

Package: £30,000 (inclusive of overtime hours, annual performance related bonus and depends on experience)
