Job Description: Proactive Conference and Events Sales Executive


Location: Missenden Abbey, Buckinghamshire  

Position: Full-time


The Role


As the Proactive Conference and Events Sales exec at Missenden Abbey, you will be responsible for driving the sales of our conference and event services. Your key responsibilities will include:


Sales and Client Management: Actively sell and promote Missenden Abbey's conference and event offerings to prospective clients. You'll meet and coordinate with clients and event managers in the lead-up to events, ensuring all their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

  

Financial Coordination: Manage the financial aspects of each event, including the collection of deposits and final payments. Ensure all financial transactions align with the established terms and conditions.


Event Management: Oversee the successful execution of events on the day, coordinating and supporting the operational teams to ensure everything runs smoothly and according to plan.


Revenue Maximization: Identify opportunities to increase revenue through accurate forecasting, strategic pricing, and effective advertising. You'll work closely with the Sales and Revenue Manager to implement innovative strategies that drive sales.


Strategy Development: Assist in creating and implementing a proactive sales strategy, focusing on growing our presence in the corporate market and maximizing event bookings.


What You Will Bring


Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of selling conferences and events.


Financial Acumen: Highly numerate with a strong understanding of financial management in relation to event sales.


Innovation: A creative mindset with ideas and inspiration for selling to the corporate market, helping to differentiate Missenden Abbey from competitors.


Teamwork: A passion for working collaboratively within a team, contributing to the overall success of the venue.
