Disability Service: Disability Residential Service Adults and Children

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Job Objectives:


The overall objective of the Director of Services role is to provide support to the Chief Operating Officer together with strong professional leadership within the Group's Intellectual Disability Services.

The post holder will promote the company's Vision, Mission & Values, and ensure the company culture and expectations are adopted and promoted across the services.


Under the overall direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the post holder will be responsible for the following.


  • Participate in the overall management of the Group through membership of the Corporate Management Team, contributing to policy, planning and decision-making processes throughout the Group and helping the Group to take the best (most timely/least risky) decisions possible with regard to resident care and service, taking account of human and financial resource availability.
  • Engage with and promote excellent communications with all external bodies and statutory agencies incl. HSE, HIQA and HSA.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationship with key stakeholders, including service users, their families, funding agencies and all other relevant statutory/regulatory bodies.


Essential Experience

 

  • At least 3 years management experience at PIC level or above in Disability Services or other relevant human services,
  • BA level 7 Degree in Social Care or Nursing or Social Care Management
  • Hold an appropriate qualification in health or Social Care Management
  • Experience of managing multiple designated centres
  • A full drivers licence and own transport
