Key Purpose of the Role:

  • Responsible for the reconciliation of all Worldpay WPAP bank accounts, APMs, PSPs and internal/external account transfers of Worldpay funds.
  • Supervision of exception processes including escalations, stakeholder relationships and ad-hoc project work. 
  • Management of a team of Reconciliation Controllers.
  • Key contact for the business regarding specialist technical knowledge for reconciliations.
  • Responsible for collation and analysis of statistics and KPI’s, along with reviews and actions of aged breaks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support management in driving Reconciliations’ strategy forward.
  • To manage queries and escalations for the team.
  • Produce reporting and MI to analyse and drive team performance
  • Work on Reconciliation projects away from BAU to act as a Reconciliations SME.
  • Acquire specialist knowledge to provide accurate advice and information to both internal and external sources in a timely and professional manner, taking full ownership through to resolution.
  • Prioritise workload effectively throughout the day to ensure all SLA’s are adhered to, and provide escalation to the Team Manager on a regular basis.
  • Work as part of the team to ensure daily objectives are met.
  • Continually look for ways of improving efficiencies, providing potential solutions and follow through to implementation.
  • Coach the team on any identified training gaps and errors made throughout the month. 
  • Deal with Ad-hoc tasks as requested by the business and the Leadership team.
  • Demonstrate an overall understanding of Operational Finance across all teams as well as working collaboratively with other team leads.

Experience Required:

  • Demonstrable experience of working within Reconciliations/Operational Finance along with a good understanding of WPAP Reconciliations processes.
  • Must be confident communicating at all levels e.g. Team meetings, manager comms, head of department escalations.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Desirable:

  • Qualification or working towards AAT, Accounting or Finance Degree would be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of general ledger accounting systems would be an advantage
