Your new role

As our new Sector Director – Commercial, you will support our Head of Markets and Divisional Directors to develop and drive our services targeted at clients within the Commercial sector. With sustainability and innovation at the core, and experts within multiple technical disciplines, we want to become a trusted partner to our commercial clients as they navigate the green transition. The commercial sector and its investments in green solutions present a great opportunity to bring about the change that is needed to close the gap between today and a sustainable future. Consequently, this is an area of key strategic importance to Ramboll.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Understanding the Commercial sector on a national level and any connected policies and sector trends
  • Understanding investment strategies and the key clients, stakeholders, and related activity in the Commercial sector
  • Being a point of contact within the organisation when information is required related to the sector
  • Understanding and having an overview of Ramboll’s national portfolio of activity with a general understanding of key clients, projects, and opportunities
  • Participate in and where required manage large tenders or proposals
  • Contributing with industry best practice and/or client insights in the bidding, winning and execution of projects
  • Identifying competencies within Ramboll and deploying these to projects, to ensure that we meet, and exceed, our client’s expectations
  • Delivering to an agreed revenue target and profitability

 

Your new team – Join our UK Buildings Market

Our portfolio includes clients within the public and private sector and ranges from refurbishment of listed buildings into thriving commercial space, to new build multi-million pound developments for listed developers and investors.

Our multi-disciplinary teams assist our clients and external collaborators in all phases of a project – from developing business plans and strategic planning to selecting the right solution and all way through the execution of the project.

As Commercial Sector Director, you will support the Buildings UK Market Director and have the strategic responsibility for developing and growing our services within the Commercial sector.

  • Academic degree or equivalent experience
  • Professional membership of relevant institution
  • Several years of experience with project and/or programme management in the commercial sector
  • In-depth understanding of the commercial sector, including associated challenges and opportunities
  • An innovative mindset and urge to challenge yourself, the clients, and the sector
  • A passion for sustainability and a strong interest in driving change that underpin a sustainable transformation of society
  • Business acumen and ability to build strong relations with internal and external stakeholders
  • An ability to collaborate across technical and geographical borders
  • Effective communication skills in English
