Join us at our Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre for a unique opportunity to lead our Assets Group and drive transformative improvements in our Site Maintenance Organization. As the Senior Engineering Maintenance Manager, you will spearhead the cost-effective maintenance of site plant & equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations in alignment with Syngenta HSE, UK regulations and production demands.

You will lead a dynamic, multi-skilled team of engineering maintenance managers, asset engineers, planners and technicians to implement continuous improvement plans aimed at elevating asset effectiveness, operational efficiency, and HSE performance. Working in collaboration with relevant site departments and business functions, you will develop, implement, and enhance maintenance and engineering strategies to meet business needs while optimizing cost and plant uptime.

 

Qualifications and required experience

  • Solid experience in managing large maintenance teams/functions within chemical production on a large scale.
  • Degree within a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical engineering etc)
  • Engineering management and extensive leadership experience.
  • Organisational Change Management experience.
  • Asset Lifecycle Management knowledge (eg ISO 55001).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) practices and leads by example in all HSEQ-related matters.
