Turner & Townsend alinea is currently recruiting for a Senior Cost Manager within our Real Estate team to support our expanding Sports & Leisure sector. The position is to work within an existing team on iconic sports & entertainment venues & masterplans for a variety of clients offering exciting development opportunities. 

The individual must be self-motivated with the ability to collaboratively manage a design team to budget adopting the established processes and procedures in place. Experience of working with sector specialists design teams, supply chain and/or tier one main contractors would also be advantageous. 

A good knowledge of JCT would also be beneficial with the ability to work collaboratively with any main contractor. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

Commission Management, to include: 

• Preparing feasibility studies  

• Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan 

• Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, preparing reports and tender/ contract documents. 

• Dealing with post contract cost variances and the change control processes 

• Making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place 

• Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client 

• Inputting into value engineering 

• Negotiating and agreeing final accounts 

• Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages 

• Where appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities
