Our thriving Water Engineering business in England & Wales is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to to lead, develop and expand our Specialist Hydraulics team and contribute to our exciting portfolio of multimillion-pound UK Water Industry projects. Our team is responsible for conducting hydraulic analysis and designing water/wastewater treatment plants and pipelines for a diverse range of clients.

This role represents a great opportunity to lead professionals, leveraging their collective expertise to deliver innovative solutions on a diverse range of projects that meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Here’s what you’ll do: 

  • Leading teams with team members of varying experience levels from Apprentice and Graduate through to Principal and Senior Principal level engineers.
  • Working collaboratively with various other design discipline engineers on projects and be a decision maker, driving projects forward and leading critical decisions.
  • Developing robust, reliable, innovative, and cost-effective hydraulic designs.
  • Preparing design reports that detail the calculations/analysis performed and their key findings.
  • Estimating and budgeting man-hours for design tasks.
  • Ensuring that all activities adhere to Health and Safety Regulations and Accepted Industry Practices.
  • Validating all deliverables, including calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications, taking the role of a Lead Verifier in accordance with our Quality Assurance (QA) system.
