Key Responsibilities
As the Third in Charge/Deputy Nursery Manager, you will:
- Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Ensure a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children.
- Lead and support the team to deliver outstanding childcare and education.
- Oversee planning and implementation of activities that meet EYFS standards.
- Maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and development.
- Step up as acting manager in the absence of the Nursery Manager.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a nursery setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
