About the Role:
As the Contract Manager (Arboriculture), you will be at the forefront of their operations, driving commercial success and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will lead a dedicated team, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to the strategic growth of their business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to achieve local objectives and exceed financial targets.
- Work with the Regional Director to create an effective organisational structure, recruit, train, and motivate staff.
- Secure new commercial opportunities, handle tendering, and pricing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships, safeguarding our company's reputation.
- Support and enhance our health, safety, and welfare culture.
- Submit forecasts for sales, costs, and profits.
- Review management accounts and produce monthly forecasts.
- Oversee commercial operations and evaluate vehicle and machinery requirements.
- Maintain organisational structure, manage recruitment, and enforce discipline.
- Comply with Quality Management System procedures.
- Monitor and improve health, safety, and welfare policies.
- Liaise with clients to agree on work programs, inspect and certify work, and manage payments.
- Secure ongoing accreditation as Arboriculture Association Approved Contractor.
- Qualifications: Nationally recognised professional or academic arboriculture qualification (or willingness to achieve).
- Experience: Proven track record as a manager/supervisor ideally with 5 years in Arboriculture.
- Skills: Strong background in contracts management and client relationship building.
- Personal Qualities: Credibility, modern management style, strong relationship-building skills, financial awareness, and excellent planning and time management abilities.
