The Role
Working under the Quality Manager, a Quality Engineer is now required to join the team at their West Midlands based facility to play a key role in quality assurance for fabrications relating to furnace installations.
 
37 Hours per week - 8.00am to 4.30 pm Mon-Thurs, 8.00am to 1.00pm Fri.
 
You will take responsibility for:

• Conducting quality inspections on fabricated components, using tools such as verniers, micrometres, and gauges to verify adherence to specifications.
• Supporting quality management systems and documentation, including compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 standards.
• Ensuring quality control standards are met across all stages of fabrication and installation processes.
• Performing internal and supplier audits to verify product and process compliance.
• Collaborating with project teams to resolve quality issues and implement continuous improvements.
   

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer/Technician, ideally with experience of working within a heavy engineering setting.

• Familiarity with quality systems and processes.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and ensure quality standards are upheld.
   

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems experience would be highly advantageous
• Experience of working in a heavy engineering setting and/or working in a Forge or Furnace environment would be desirable but not essential.
