We are looking to recruit an experienced sales or business engagement professional to join our Maths for Adults Wales team as a Business Engagement Manager.

Through our Maths for Adults Wales project, we are contracted to deliver a range of Maths programmes to adult learners across south and west Wales.

About the Business Engagement Manager role

We're looking for a highly organised and driven individual to join Equal Education Partners as a Business Engagement Manager.

The Business Engagement Manager will take responsibility for recruiting employers and individuals to participate in our Maths for Adults Wales courses in Newport, RCT and Caerphilly in particular, with potential to support recruitment activity in other parts of southeast Wales.

About Equal's Maths for Adults Wales team

Our Business Engagement Manager will work within a strong team overseen by our Managing Director. The role will work alongside four experienced project managers/delivery specialists and a curriculum development specialist. The team will share responsibility for collaborating closely to provide an excellent end to end learner experience.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting employers (including businesses, charities, community groups and public sector bodies) and individuals to participate in our Maths for Adults Wales programme in Newport, Caerphilly and RCT, using a combination of both traditional and digital methods.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing employer contacts in Newport, Caerphilly and RCT
  • Developing new business relationships with additional employers across Newport, Caerphilly and RCT.
  • Pro-actively driving learner recruitment initiatives.
  • Promoting a positive employer and learner experience throughout the entire recruitment process.
  • Being an ambassador and advocate for Equal Education Partners.

Requirements

  • Essential characteristics: a highly motivated, organised and transparent, who has a strong work ethic and operates with integrity and professionalism at all times
  • Based in southeast Wales
  • Strong sales and/or recruitment skills and experience
  • Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Highly organised
  • Confident IT user
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work to meet deadlines and targets
