About the role:

The Account Manager will build long-lasting customer relationships and collaborate with our experienced sales and technical pre-sales team. The successful candidate will help us grow existing accounts and penetrate new market segments.

Here’s what the role looks like:

  • Account Management of selected strategic or development accounts and ensuring sales targets for these accounts are met or exceeded.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers stakeholders and executive sponsors to achieve “Key Supplier” status.
  • Operate within the agreed Account Management process and governance framework.
  • Communicate the progress against key initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ownership and delivery of sales presentations, proposals and tenders.
  • Working with internal operational and finance teams to ensure delivery of high-quality services to customers.
  • Build an awareness of Sword’s capability across our global business.
  • Contract ownership and negotiations.

Requirements

Here are the key skills and experience relevant to this role:

  • A demonstrable track record in an industry-related business account or sales management experience.
  • The ability to develop and execute complex sales and account development strategies.
  • A successful approach to developing new customer accounts
  • A proven track record of managing large and complex accounts, becoming a trusted advisor to your customers
  • An ability to work across multiple disciplines
  • Strong multi-level relationship builder.
  • A commercially focused mindset, articulate and possess the ability to think strategically.
  • A goal-oriented mindset and be target driven.
  • An understanding of the typical Contracts and procurement process.
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and time-management skills.
  • Experience working within the Energy sector, selling IT services and consultancy in the UK would be advantageous.
