What’s it all about?

The Education Partnerships Manager is responsible for building strategic and productive relationships for our existing schools. The EPM will own ~100 schools and will be responsible for overall programme success which includes renewal, upsell and cross-sell through supporting the school, alongside our internal teams, to drive excellent programmes and spot growth opportunities. The EPM will be a trusted advisor for the school on how they can achieve better pupil outcomes through program expansion and additions.

The Education Partnerships Manager will use sales best practices, including MEDDIC, Challenger Sales and Social Selling, to uncover new contacts within accounts and build relationships that result in additional revenue year after year. They will proactively generate their own leads with their accounts to drive cross sell and upsell opportunities and pipeline, while also collaborating with Marketing and Sales Development Representatives to exceed revenue goals. They will also work, alongside Customer Operations, to ensure that programmes are running successfully, using key programme moments such as onboarding and check-ins to nurture relationships and find opportunities for up and cross sell.

The Day to Day

  • Own the renewal, upsell and cross-sell relationship with ~100-150 school accounts, acting as a trusted advisor, delivering strategic advice and recommendations.
  • Manage your time to hit key KPIs to ensure you hit and exceed personal revenue targets.
  • Support schools in maximising the success and impact of the products they purchase from us driving successful and impactful programmes to maximise our value and clinch renewal and growth opportunities
  • Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities (cross-sell and up-sell) with existing contacts.
  • Diversify relationships in accounts to help embed MyTutor and open new commercial opportunities.
  • Utilise sales enablement tools and CRM systems effectively, alongside regular communication and appropriate account management cadence to maintain strong and secure partnerships
  • Work closely with Marketing to nurture school and academy trust decision-makers to keep them engaged and responsive to outreach throughout the academic year.
  • Champion the voice of the customer by sharing prospect and customer feedback and insights across the company. 
  • Proactively develop school champions and leverage positive relationships to drive referrals.
  • Take ownership of building your product and sector knowledge to act as a trusted school adviser. 
  • Help create effective processes and strategies for program renewal, upsell and cross-sell, supporting the wider team in achieving our goals.
  • Work closely with Head of Revenue Operations, managing a healthy pipeline to deliver accurate forecasting

Requirements

Who will you be?

  • 3+ years in a Sales role focused on upselling and cross-selling, leveraging best-in-class sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger and Social Selling
  • Proven track record of hitting KPI including renewal and account spend targets
  • Experienced in developing transactional relationships into long-term strategic ones
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise individual accounts within a larger account portfolio
  • Skilled objection handling with a challenger mentality
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confidence in speaking with senior decision-makers.
  • Excellent telephone call-handling skills, including questioning, probing, listening, matching, and closing
  • Someone who enjoys collaborating with their team and up-skilling together
  • Track record of reliable data hygiene and pipeline tracking within Salesforce
