The Opportunity:

The Energy and Climate Change Team are looking to employ a technically focussed and commercially experienced candidate to assist in the delivery of our expanding climate change related services, with a focus in Bristol and the surrounding area.

The Energy and Climate Change team deliver a diverse range of projects from working on the technical elements of planning applications for renewable energy projects through to modelling of complex off-grid energy systems and using Computational Fluid Dynamics for wind flow modelling.

The ideal candidate would have a maths, science or engineering degree and five to ten years’ experience in the sector. This is a technical role and experience manipulating complex data to identify patterns and determine solutions is essential. Experience in two or more of the technical disciplines below is also beneficial:

  • Building Surveying
  • Building Efficiency and Energy Modelling
  • Relevant Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) understanding / experience
  • Feasibility Assessments
  • Renewable Energy Technologies (small and large scale)
  • Cashflow Modelling
  • Low Carbon Construction
  • Carbon Accounting
  • Net Zero Strategies
  • Life Cycle Assessment
  • Planning and EIA

The candidate will have a good understanding of the drivers and opportunities associated with national and local agenda to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, and to assist in the development of Wardell Armstrong’s presence in the region.
