We’re looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Spalding working a 4 on, 4 off, night shift pattern

As a Warehouse operative at Westfalia Fruit UK, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient & timely production of our fresh fruit orders. Your responsibilities extend beyond meeting despatch deadlines, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene & safety, of yourself and others, and maintaining the quality of our product lines.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure that goods are assembled, despatched and recorded correctly.
  • To comply with Health and Safety, Food Safety and other relevant procedures.
  • To adhere to operating procedures relating to goods receipt and despatch, use of mechanical handling equipment with Health & Safety requirements.
  • To consolidate produce within each store as directed to optimise space utilisation and facilitate stock counting.
  • To report any defects in relation to pallet integrity, product integrity or fabrication to the Shift manager/Supervisor.
  • To check daily that mechanical handling equipment is in good order, clean and safe to operate, completing relevant paperwork.
  • To ensure that the storage areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.

Requirements

  • Valid Counter Balance license
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in following instructions and adhering to procedures
  • Previous experience in handling fresh produce would be advantageous
