JOB TITLE: Allocator
REPORTING TO: Cabin Operations Manager
LOCATION: London Heathrow Airport, TW6 2TA
CONTRACT: Permanent
HOURS: 40 hours a week
SHIFT PATTERN: Business needs - 4 on 2 off or 3 on 3 off, mix of shifts and shift lengths
PAY RATE: Competitive
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
The Allocator role is responsible for ensuring an effective and efficient operation of the Cabin Cleaning department by allocating resources to specific tasks within defined time frames, utilizing Inform to meet client specification to ensure there are no delays and all Aircrafts are cleaned each day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor the issuing and receiving of equipment to all staff
- Assign staff to new jobs using Inform and monitor their progress
- Keep the manager informed of potential delays or problems
- Ensure strong information and communication is shared with all airlines
- Receive and respond to telephone enquiries from staff and customers in professional manner.
- Liaise with all airline staff and handling agents.
- Provide detailed reports on accidents and incidents
- Brief staff on relevant operational matters
- Escalate possible service failures, ideally before they happen.
- Identify operational challenges” and produce a plan to respond.
- Ensure a fair and consistent approach to staff when allocating work.
- Ensure staff are working appropriately and in a timely manner
- Carry out any reasonable task requested.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Allocation experience in the aviation industry
· Strong communication and influencing skills
· Management or supervision experience
· Cabin cleaning experience
· Strong IT and programme operational skills
