The Front End Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the user-facing aspects of our platform. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to thoroughly test your own work, and a proactive approach to providing solutions that enhance our product. The ideal candidate should be passionate about creating seamless and engaging user experiences.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Development and Implementation:

    • Develop and maintain responsive and visually appealing web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
    • Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to implement and improve functionality, ensuring a seamless integration with back-end systems.

Problem Solving:

    • Independently identify and troubleshoot issues in the front-end codebase, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with the wider development team to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes

Testing and Quality Assurance:

    • Thoroughly test your own work, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, to ensure high-quality code and a bug-free user experience.
    • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices with the development team.

Proactive Solutions:

    • Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to the front-end architecture and development processes to enhance efficiency and performance.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively introduce new tools and methodologies that can benefit the team.

Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and challenges.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in front-end development, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
  • Experience with Git.
  • Experience with PHP (Laravel) and Twig advantageous
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to find effective solutions.
  • Proven experience in thoroughly testing your own work and ensuring high-quality code.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary: £30k - £44k pa DOE (+ bonus, share options and benefits)
