Damibu, a software development studio, is looking for an experienced Front-end Developer to support the growth of our content management platform. Our office is located in Liverpool within the vibrant Baltic Triangle area, a mere 10-minute walk from the city centre.

We operate with a hybrid working model and will require a minimum of one day each week at our Liverpool office.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A talented developer, with demonstrable experience of complex React solutions.
  • Able to work independently, managing time & tasks.
  • Keen to improve their skills and keep learning.
  • Comfortable communicating with team members (including text/voice when working remotely).
  • Interested in problem-solving: We’re looking for someone who will actively come up with ideas to solve issues, not just blindly follow instructions.
  • Excited about bleeding-edge technologies, keenly following the newest trends
  • Aware of user experience, able to identify and work with designers to overcome Ux issues.

Due to the high number of applications, you must be able to provide a portfolio or demonstrate previous work in a professional setting.

What it is like working for Damibu

Our vision is to reinvent how information is shared online. We believe in our work and want applicants who share our vision and passion. The team is a nerdy, diverse - perhaps unusual group. When we are in the office it’s usually a peaceful workspace with people simply listening to music and coding. There is no dress code and we encourage a healthy work/life balance.

This is an exciting time to join the growing team with excellent career progression and regular salary reviews.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support design & development of our CMS platform interface
  • Work with the backend team to brainstorm new features
  • Support legacy codebase and platforms
  • Produce high quality reliable code with appropriate testing methods
  • Taking an active part in project discussions regarding features, usability and design
  • Focusing on user experience
  • Track progress via JIRA task management platform

Working Hours / Location

Working hours are 9am to 5pm. At least 1 day per week in the office is mandatory - this is currently on Tuesdays but may be subject to change in future. To facilitate the onboarding process, new employees are required in the Liverpool office during the initial one to two weeks of their employment.

The Application Process

A portfolio or a CV that provides links to projects you have developed should be provided. Interviews will be conducted in three stages - the first being remote and the final being an in-person meeting at our offices. A cover letter and portfolio is a mandatory requirement for all applications.

Unfortunately, we are NOT able to provide Visa sponsorship for this role.
