Are you ready to rethink your routine? We’re looking for a Field Training Manager to support the Training & Education branch of our Retail Management team. The Field Training Manager is responsible for educating and empowering our teams with the makeup and skincare knowledge and skills necessary to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional, personalised customer experiences. This role involves hands-on training, product education, and sales techniques to ensure the effective promotion of the brand’s products and the maintenance of high standards in all retail locations.

The Role 
Your daily to-dos might look like this;

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field staff, ensuring consistent performance and professional growth
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to provide feedback and set development goals
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork

Training Development:

  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and existing staff, focusing on skill development and product knowledge
  • Create training materials, including manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve training programs
  • Conducted/Observe trade tests, supporting the retail recruitment process

Training Delivery

  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for all Trinny London MUAs and Skincare Specialists on brand values, philosophy and concepts of Trinny London
  • Deliver effective training in key subjects such as product knowledge, artistry, skincare, services and KPIs/retail sales
  • Execute motivational and inspirational training which includes and is not limited to onboarding, new starter induction and new product launches
  • Create locally relevant content in the form of videos and product/selling tips for E-learning platform

Sales Support

  • Work closely with the Retail Teams to identify training needs and performance gaps
  • Provide on-the-floor coaching and support to enhance sales techniques and customer interactions
  • Monitor KPIs to measure the impact of training delivered, providing feedback to Store Managers and Head of Training on any commercial impact

Performance Evaluation

  • Provide regular reports on training effectiveness and suggest improvements
  • Identify opportunities for team development and further coaching, analyse success of training sessions
  • Provide feedback on the development of the team to Store Management, Head of Training and Senior Leaders

Event Coordination

  • Participate in special events, product launches, and promotional activities

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and trainee progress
  • Ensure training materials and tools are up-to-date and available
  • Complete expense reports within deadline 

Requirements

These skills will help you go far in this role:

  • Experience of working in a Makeup and Skincare education role
  • Beauty qualification such as NVQ levels 2/3 desirable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of makeup techniques, products, and trends
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Ability to create video content that is engaging, educational and joyful
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and other relevant software
  • Passionate about beauty and makeup
  • Patient and approachable, with a positive and energetic attitude
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and environments
  • Willingness to travel regularly
