Direct Medics is a Registered Supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework. We are currently working with qualified Speech & Language Therapy Assistants to help them find new and exciting opportunities with the Trusts here in Northern Ireland.

As such, we are now recruiting on behalf of the South Eastern Trust for a Band 4 Speech & Language Therapy Assistant!  The Speech and Language Therapy Assistant is employed to assist in the delivery of services across the Children and Young People’s Speech and Language Therapy service (CYPSLT). This includes management of children on an individual and/or group basis as well as administration tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Service within school settings.  The role will be full time with hours between Monday – Friday and the duration of the post will range from 2 – 6 months.  Salary starting from £14.50 to £15.50 per hour.

Requirements

- NVQ 3 in Child Care or equivalent in relevant area Plus 2 years relevant experience

- Alternatively hold a HNC/D in relevant subject or equivalent Plus 1 year’s relevant experience or hold 4 year’s relevant experience
- Experience working with clients with communication difficulties/ Ability to communicate with clients with poor communication skills

- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment
