The Role

Are you a seasoned project control professional with expertise in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies? Join our P3M practice, where your extensive knowledge and collaborative skills will be highly valued. We are looking for an individual with experience in the defence or energy sectors to make a significant impact in a dynamic and supportive environment.

 

As a Planner, you will:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with objectives.
  • Estimate, monitor, and control project costs; analyse trends and recommend actions.
  • Plan and optimize project resources for efficient execution.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks; develop mitigation strategies.
  • Generate progress reports, facilitate communication among stakeholders, and ensure adherence to quality standards and project documentation.

Requirements

About You

Consultancy experience is desirable, with a proven track record as a P3M management consultant. Experience in the Defence sector is a strong advantage. A solid understanding of PMO functions and the distinct disciplines of project, programme, and portfolio management is essential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Stakeholder Management.
  • Recognised authority in the project control field.
  • Experience in business development with a successful track record across the entire sales cycle is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in planning software (e.g. Primavera P6).
  • Deep understanding of schedule integration with risk and cost management, and the ability to collaborate with Project Controls professionals for effective reporting and project delivery.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Schedule Risk Analysis.
  • Capability to lead the integration of cost, resource, and risk mitigation activities into schedules.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of change control processes.
  • Ability to develop clear and concise management information on project/programme performance against plans, including Earned Value Management, and advise Project Managers on options and impacts (e.g. milestones).
  • Competence in developing schedules from scratch and providing guidance to Project Managers and Project Controls professionals throughout the process.
