Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Demand Generation to spearhead our lead generation efforts and drive revenue growth. In this brand new role, you will develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns and utilise data-driven insights to optimise performance. You will lead and coach a small team of demand generation professionals and help shape the direction of the marketing team, in line with company growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive demand generation strategy to drive qualified leads and revenue growth
  • Align demand generation efforts with overall marketing and business objectives
  • Oversee the integration of event activity as a lead generation source
  • Identify target audiences and create segmented marketing campaigns
  • Create clear priority order of campaigns based on potential eg product/location
  • Create a robust programme to help drive leads through the trial process, aligning with Sales on marketing support to increase conversion rates
  • Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to identify opportunities and threats

Campaign Management:

  • Develop comprehensive campaign plan focused on nurturing leads across key jurisdictions and products
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of personalised, multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, social media, content marketing, paid advertising, and events
  • Collaborate with research to develop a comprehensive content plan to support demand generation efforts
  • Manage the demand generation budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI
  • Oversee ABM programmes, working closely with marketing team and Sales on activities and shared goals

Team Leadership:

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing demand generation team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team and provide regular feedback and coaching

Marketing Technology:

  • Working with marketing automation and ops manager, utilise marketing automation platforms (e.g.Pardot) to streamline and scale demand generation efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing technologies and trends to continuously improve demand generation efforts. Educate and champion latest trends and technology, especially AI marketing

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Work with marketing automation/ops to develop dashboards and reports to track key demand generation metrics and KPIs
  • Analyse campaign performance data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. Work with team to implement
  • Provide regular updates to Marketing Director and executive team on the performance of demand generation initiatives and their impact on revenue

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment on lead generation, lead scoring, lead follow-up and lead nurturing processes
  • Collaborate with other marketing functions (e.g. events, brand marketing) to ensure a cohesive and integrated marketing strategy
  • Communicate demand generation plans, progress, and results to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Build key relationships across Sales, Research, Content, Tech and Design

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior demand generation role, with approx. 8yrs experience
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrable experience at managing and motivating a team of demand generation professionals. This includes setting clear goals, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Extensive demand generation experience, with excellent skills in marketing automation and technology. Excellent understanding of content marketing, social media, and other digital marketing channels. Strong understanding of AI marketing skills a significant advantage
  • Thorough experience with lead scoring, nurturing, and conversion strategies as well as using marketing automation tools to manage and track leads through the sales funnel
  • Data driven mindset with a strong proficiency in analysing data to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey ideas, present strategies, and collaborate with other departments such as sales, product, research, and executive leadership. Experienced in building sales and marketing alignment
  • A deep understanding of the customer journey and the ability drive the delivery of personalised and targeted campaigns that address the specific needs and pain points of different customer segments.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee the execution of multiple campaigns simultaneously by the wider team, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Experienced in managing budgets including PPC, reporting performance against spend
  • Experience in B2B marketing, particularly within the energy or finance sectors, is a plus

Desirable Skills:

  • An interest in commodities, energy or financial markets would be beneficial
