To sustain our growth, we are seeking a Senior Analyst who will work as part of the Data & Analytics team, you will work to develop and embed first-class insight-led decision making across the organisation through the development of formal reporting, strategic analytics and a programme of data citizenship delivered to all regions and functions. This will involve close collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation on a range of projects from tactical to strategic, leveraging and developing a broad spectrum of skills – from the technical, through quantitative to communication and change management.

The newly formed Analytics Team will play a key role in the evolution of the business, placing data at the centre of the commercial and operational execution of a complex and exciting organisation. As part of the team, the Senior Analyst will champion and train colleagues in how to get the most from data, how to convert to insights and how to drive better automation and efficiencies through its delivery into the hands of key decision makers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the VP, Supply Chain and Director, Logistics Solutions to drive actionable insights within Clinigen’s supply chain environment and act as the SME for all supply chain & logistics data from within the centralised data platform
  • Lead small-to-medium scale analytics projects, from outlining scope and planning to executions and delivery, with support from Manager and Director, Data & Analytics where necessary.
  • Act as the expert on internal data resources for the wider business.
  • Serve as the key resource for interpreting data and information; communicates results to team members.
  • Operate as the primary contact between departments and IT to facilitate the delivery of business intelligence solutions.
  • Work closely with IT project managers and operations to coordinate cross-functional project activities and ensures deliverables are accurate and meet requirements.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools across all departments and functional areas providing detailed reporting and analysis.
  • Assess analytics and reporting needs; provides recommendations for enhanced solutions and specifications for intelligence and analytics tools.
  • Manage the delivery of reporting and analytics solutions to internal and external customers.
  • Ensure reporting needs across process areas are prioritized to support deployment strategies and business needs.
  • Lead on development of protocols to extract data in a standardized process from a variety of data sources.
  • Development and definition of data management standards and processes to effectively manage data through the reporting life cycle.
  • Lead on data mining of customer and sales information for all market segments.
  • Drive development of prototypes and models for database, data integrations and data transformation needs.
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with business owners as a process advocate.
  • Creation of speech and presentation materials for members of the management team.
  • Keep abreast of healthcare trends and competitor activity.
  • In time, you will line manage at least one junior team member, responsible for their day-to-day oversight and direction setting, as well as contributing to their ongoing development.

Requirements

  • You will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience with expert analytics and reporting experience.
  • Require some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or computer science generally obtained through completion of a 3/4 year Bachelor’s Degree program.
  • Experience leading team members or small projects an advantage
  • Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams.
  • Ability to provide expert steer and knowledge into wider team settings, leading where required.
  • Maturity and poise required to manage junior team member(s) essential.
  • Planning, analytical and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and identify and apply appropriate solutions.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Expert skillset in relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server or Access) and data management essential
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing/engineering architecture (e.g. Microsoft Azure) desirable
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (e.g. VBA, Python) desirable
  • Some experience with statistical or maths packages (e.g. R, Stata, SPSS) desirable
  • Experience with Alteryx Designer desirable
  • Experience with Power BI or similar visualization software desirable
  • Strong skillset and experience with business intelligence tools, capabilities, and best practices essential
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Excel (expert) required.
