Job Summary:
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to internal end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and a strong technical background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to IT support requests via phone, Teams, email, or in-person in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications.
- Provide support for various IT systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and permissions.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure effective and efficient IT service delivery.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates on IT equipment and systems.
- Assist in IT projects and initiatives as required.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on software and hardware usage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding IT security and usage.
Requirements
- Further education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in an IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Familiarity / experience with Joomla CMS an advantage
- Basic understanding of networking principles (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with IT support tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
