JOB TITLE: Water Technician

LOCATIONS: TFL London Underground Estate

SHIFT PATTERN: Mon-Fri, 8 Hour Shifts (8-5)

SALARY: £30,000 per annum

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

To undertake the planned duties as directed by the L8 Water Compliance Supervisor, providing technical support and assistance as required by both the supervisor and wider members of the team as may be necessary to ensure all activities both planned and reactive are completed in line with the contractual SLA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake planned maintenance activities and asset servicing to SFG20 standards ensuring all checks and tasks are completed satisfactorily
  • Communicate works progress to the L8 Water Compliance Supervisor regularly and maintain contract to ensure all works are completed within the desired time frame
  • Review all service and report documentation for accuracy prior to onward issue
  • Ensure all works are completed on time in line with legal statutory requirements and company procedures ensuring key concerns are communicated in a timely fashion
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards and practices at all times in line with both ABM and client HSQE policies and guidelines, reporting accidents, incidents and near misses
  • Liaise with supervisor as and when required during the co-ordination of planned and reactive activities so as to ensure smart planning is achieved to reduce downtime and increase productivity
  • Establish good working relationships with other team members and provide guidance to others to support learning and development to strengthen the Team and maximise performance
  • To assist and support the operational engineering function while also conducting your operational maintenance duties, including assisting the management team in customer focused duties and inspections, Ensuring complince with all contractual requirements for all areas of responsibility
  • Be client and public facing maintaining good conduct and code of practice at all times•                          Maintain site files to ensure all policies, Risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments are available to view, ensuring all site briefing records, plant and equipment records are maintained and available on request during planned general inspections, managers site safety visits and client HSQE inspections

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

•                          Water Regs (WRAS)

•                          Basic Plumbing / Water Knowledge is a must

•                          Hot water systems and safety training (Part G3 Building Regulations) 

Desirable:

•                          City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 Plumbing

•                          JIB-PMES approved
