About The Role

Join our team at SMT GB as a Used Parts Sales Person. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the sales of used parts and components to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue. The role requires excellent sales skills, product knowledge, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Proactively market and sell used parts and components to existing and potential customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Take ownership of the sales process, from initial contact with the customer to post-sales support.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, quotes, and invoices.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure prompt delivery of parts to customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, prices, and market trends.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and markets.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Provide feedback and market intelligence to the management team to support business development efforts.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

In order to set you up for success, we look for the following skills and experience:

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Technical understanding of construction equipment or heavy machinery is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with computer systems and sales software.

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Volvo construction equipment and parts.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • A valid driver's license.
