The role? 

A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technician to join our Valves Workshop at our base facility in Aberdeen. This is a full time onshore position reporting to the Workshop Supervisor. The role will include a base salary and overtime for anything worked over 37.5 hours a week Mon - Fri. Main duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Provide inspection, repair, installation, maintenance, testing and re-certification for virtually all makes, models, sizes and types of valves and actuators including; Safety and Pressure relief valves, Manually & Actuated isolation valves, system control valves (Flow Globe & Choke), Gate, globe, ball, check, non-return, & main stop.
  • Preservation, maintenance and re-certification of valves and spares
  • Execution of onshore valve repairs
  • Preparation of containerised Workshop facilities for both onshore and offshore field services
  • High pressure hydrostatic and pneumatic testing and function testing of equipment
  • Certification to specified industry and customer Standards
  • Ensuring gauge and instrument calibration are up to date
  • In-house valve and part inventory control
  • Carry out QC inspection of all goods in / out functions

You are? 

To be successful for this position you will hold an apprenticeship or equivalent experience / formal qualification in this field. You will have experience in the repair and maintenance of various sizes and types of Valves (as seen above). You will be responsible for working as part of a team with members of the workshop and other departments and responsible for upholding the standards of the company and work in line with the company systems and objectives.
