That’s why as a department, we’re growing. With growth comes opportunity, and this role will take a central part in delivering the success our clients are looking for when they work with The Marketing Practice. You will be experienced in outbound Sales Activation programmes, with a keen understanding of what it takes to be successful. You will also understand inbound Sales Activation and ways to optimise performance and make the most of your time to get the best possible outcomes. This role is focused on prospecting activity, balancing phone activity with 1:1 emails and the use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator for outreach. 

What you will do

As a Sales Activation Specialist at TMP, you will be at the forefront of our Sales Activation efforts. You will report to a Delivery Manager or a Sales Activation Team Lead and play a critical role in reaching out on behalf of clients, their partners and, at times, existing customers of TMP's clients via phone, email and LinkedIn to promote their offerings, qualify inbound responses, generate event attendees or gather key intelligence. Due to the nature of our services, it is likely that you may work for multiple clients during your tenure with the company and will be expected to be able to engage with them meaningfully when required. Outreach: Conduct outbound calls, send 1:1 emails and utilise LinkedIn to engage with selected prospects, enriching your data by gathering referrals and researching additional contacts, and following provided guides and best practices, to promote our clients’ services. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Generation: Identify and qualify opportunities through effective communication, ensuring that they meet the established criteria, nurturing them to the point that they are ready to engage. 
  • Data Collection and enrichment: Accurately collect and record relevant data and information from calls, emails and LinkedIn, within the client’s program database, using the appropriate outcomes and maintaining a high level of data integrity. 
  • Client Engagement: Engage in professional conversations with clients to provide feedback and updates on their campaign, as requested. 
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to established quality standards and regulations in telemarketing calls and email, ensuring a high level of quality. 
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of our clients’ services, staying informed about industry trends and the needs of relevant industries and functions. 
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, share insights and best practices, and support team goals. 

Requirements

Who you are:

  • Previous experience in sales, preferably in a B2B or technology-focused environment. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to follow call guides and best practices while maintaining a natural and engaging conversation. 
  • Results-oriented with a commitment to meeting and exceeding Sales Activation targets. 
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and using CRM software. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges 

What you will need:

  • At least three years’ experience of working in complex B2B business development 
  • Proven track record for delivering successful prospecting campaigns. 
  • Proficient with using CRM platforms (such as Salesforce). 
  • Proficient with IT including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 
  • Experience using LinkedIn and ideally Sales Navigator
