We are looking for a passionate Junior Designer to join our creative team at Inkling. We desire a candidate who is hungry to learn and develop their skills in a fast-paced agency. This role requires flexibility and collaboration while aiming to create great work that inspires our clients and colleagues. 

The ideal candidate will come from an agency background and have at least one year of experience, but a great portfolio off the back of a university degree and a willingness to get stuck in will suffice. 

In terms of cultural fit you are self-motivated and have a positive energy about you with a passion for learning and growing as a designer. You remain calm under pressure and are able to work to tight deadlines, whilst being happy to support your team when needed. 

You will be working on both digital and print based projects, ranging from branding projects to pitch documents, simple animations for social channels to large scale event graphics; you will be lead by a team of great people who will help you along the way – we aren’t expecting you to come in with all the knowledge!

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in the use of Adobe CC – including After Effects 
  • Background of working at a marketing agency (ideally) 
  • Proven understanding of core design principles 
  • Ability to own a project from ideation to artwork 
  • Drive to continue learning and developing your skillset 
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and enjoy working in a collaborative environment with creatives, client service suits, producers and other designers. 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Videography / Photography skills advantageous but not essential 
  • Passion – truly believes in the power of design and not only an ambition to create work people care about, but also to create work you’re proud of – Show us your personal projects as well!
