JOB TITLE: Mechanical Projects Engineer (Plumber/Pipe Fitter)

LOCATIONS: London – TfL Estate

SHIFT PATTERN: Sunday – Thursday 22:00-06:00

SALARY: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

MechanicalProjects Engineer with installation and testing experience required to work on a long-term contract. To carry out pipework installation works (Mains water, hot water, water heaters, megaflo), testing, and commissioning attending mechanical faults and carrying out maintenance on mechanical systems across the TfL London Underground estate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       To carry out piped services installation works and providing test results and commissioning certification

·       To carry out mechanical remedial works

·       To attend and rectify mechanical faults

·       To carry out planned maintenance in accordance with the company's PPM and task schedules

·       Undertake PPM activity in a quality, professional manner

·       Production of technical and situational reports as required

·       Proactively use the technology systems given to you so that the Company can be always compliant with its contractual obligations

·       To always communicate clearly and effectively with the rest of the team and clients

·       Attending team meetings/briefings as always requested

·       To ensure that the Company is always presented in a good light

·       To escalate any major site issues or incidents to your line manager asap once noticed

·       Understand and be aware of the requirements of all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and are equally aware of their own roles and responsibilities within the Company.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·       Full UK Driving Licence

·       London Underground certification is required to access all areas of the estate, candidates upon successful application shall be expected to achieve the desired level of accreditation as required

·       JIB-PMES approved

·       City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 - Minimum- (Heating & Ventilation/Plumbing)

·       City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3: - Preferred- (Heating & Ventilation/ Plumbing)

Other Qualifications:

·       Hot Water Systems and Safety Course G3 (Part G3 Building Regulations) 

·       Water regs & L8

·       PASMA

·       IPAF

Desirable:

·       Sentinel- LU-ICI (London Underground Industry Common Induction)
