Within this successful team, we’re recruiting for an HSE Advisor to ensure our operation complies with all environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety and well-being. This is a unique opportunity to join our leadership team and immediately impact our operation. Internally, at Marley, this role is known as HSE Manager.
What's the mission?Reporting to our Site Operations Manager, you will lead SHE Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment) at our Burton site. This involves working closely with the site team and external support functions to enable compliance with internal and external standards.

You will monitor compliance, policies, procedures, and management systems and provide updates at the monthly management meetings. You'll be involved in environmental planning, managing external contractors, assisting with SHE investigations, and driving improvements on-site in all SHE areas. Ideally, you'll need experience operating in a manufacturing environment.

Travel may be required across the UK at Marshalls and Marley network for your development and ours.

What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Oversee the site SHE documents management systems to ensure that relevant SHE documentation is updated and appropriately communicated.
  • Holding a NEBOSH qualification is essential, and some experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems is desirable.
  • Champion the implementation of corporate and site-specific SHE procedures.
  • Manage the site ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Management Systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, corporate, local authority or other stakeholder requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the SHE risk assessment process and assist and advise as needed in developing safe work systems.
  • Drive site SHE programmes, goals and targets.
  • Coordinate site internal and external SHE Training requirements.
  • Attend regular site Safety Development Group meetings.
  • Coordinate implementing, monitoring and testing site emergency response plans and any associated training requirements.
  • Assist and advise where required with accident and incident investigation and monitor the follow-up of corrective and preventative actions to closure.
  • Ensure all routine SHE monitoring is completed in accordance with all relevant legislation.
  • Conduct site SHE audits and inspections and coordinate 3rd party audits. Report, monitor, and drive the follow-up of actions.
