As a result of moving to a new ERP system we are now looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to cover a 6 month periodand provide support within our busy finance team.

So, what’s the job about?Working within our busy finance function you will be supporting the Accounts Payable Manager within a team of 6. Marshalls pay over 180,000 invoices worth about £500 million annually. In this role you will be helping in the transition to a new ERP system and will cover checking goods receipts against invoices which arrive through our OCR system, phone and email enquiries from suppliers, supplier statements and any other administrative tasks that may arise. Using your positive and engaging manner, you’ll be building some great relationships both externally and internally across a variety of diverse teams.

You will also have an opportunity to work on additional projects, which we expect to give you a variety of work and some great exposure to developing your skillset.

This will be office-based initially, however, once trained in the role you will work on a hybrid basis usually 1-2 days in the office. 

What skills do you need?

  • Experience of working in a busy Accounts Payable role
  • The ability to work to deadlines and prioritise a busy work load
  • Sound knowledge of Excel would be beneficial
  • Experience of an OCR system would be ideal but not essential
  • Knowledge of AX Dynamics, D365 or similar would be a bonus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A close attention to detail
