You will be playing a vital role in transforming the energy landscape and work as part of a team of global consultant/scientists working to deliver integrated project solutions.

We are looking for senior and principal engineers with an interest in finite element analysis and coding to join the London Advanced Analysis Team of our Subsea and Pipelines Division. The team provides advanced analysis for the offshore pipeline, cable and interconnectors industry. We use Abaqus to perform finite element analysis and Python to pre- and post-process our finite element simulations, perform data science and develop cutting edge analysis processes.

Requirements

Qualifications/Skill/Competencies

  • MEng or PhD qualified in Civil, Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or Mathematical disciplines.
  • Relevant finite element analysis and coding experience  
  • Practical experience within the offshore pipeline, cable and interconnectors industry that has allowed you to progress to more senior levels
  • Proficient and well-developed experience in the use of Abaqus and Python.
  • Willingness and enthusiastic mentor / coaching experience of less experienced engineers on technical aspects of process engineering and continued professional development.
  • Be adaptable and agile to enable delivery of assignments at short notice while multi-tasking across concurrent project scopes.
  • First class communication demonstrating ability to summarise key drivers succinctly.
