Scope of Role

Reporting to the Global IT Service Delivery Manager, the IT Support Apprentice assists staff with their IT needs. 

The IT Department works internally within the organisation to keep and maintain the working environment as efficient as to everyone’s role. Service Delivery, which is part of the IT Department, provides level 1 and 2 support to staff across ITRS offices, globally. 

This role is front line ( Level 1 basic support, level 2 in-depth analysis, and occasionally Level 3 root cause investigation and correction, including working with technical departments and staff), helping ITRS staff with their IT issues.  

As an IT Support Apprentice, you will:
  • Onboarding and offboarding of staff members, administering user accounts, procuring equipment, user access control. 
  • Monitor the IT Service Desk system and work on tickets, prioritising with time efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues. 
  • Attend the office 3 days a week to provide on-site support and remote support on other days. 
  • Contribute to and maintain the continuity of the IT Operation across the ITRS Group. 
  • Help enhance efficiency in every department by providing the necessary tools and equipment essential to the individual roles. 
  • Provide, protect and maintain the security of ITRS assets, resources, software, and hardware. 
  • Contribute to the positive user experience using IT infrastructure and equipment. 

A person in this role would benefit from the following:
  • Experience within IT Support, Desktop Support, Level 1 or Level 2 support 
  • Hands-on experience in any of the following: 
    • Previous work experience on a service desk. 
    • Microsoft Active Directory experience. 
    • Cloud computing administration. 
    • Networking skills.
