Join our team as a Warehouse Cleaner based at our distribution centre in Tankersley.

We are looking for hard working individuals that are enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge to join our cleaning team at our Distribution Centre in Tankersley, South Yorkshire.

Someone who have strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will work as part of a team to ensure all hygiene tasks are completed efficiently. Previous experience maybe useful, however full training will be given.

Details of Location and Shift pattern:

Hours/ shifts - 30 hours per week working Friday to Monday (4 nights) 10pm to 6am

Location – Company Shop Group, Tankersley Distribution Centre, Wentworth Way, Wentworth Industrial Estate, Tankersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S75 3DH

Rate of pay – £11.50 per hour, plus £1.25 per hour shift allowance, paid on a four weekly basis

Requirements

Accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Carry out cleaning work to the required standard and as instructed by your line manager
  • Use cleaning materials appropriately and economically and in line with COSHH
  • Inform your line manager when stocks are low
  • Work quickly and efficiently
  • Cover any aspects/roles within hygiene department for absence or excessive workload
  • Operate the automatic cardboard bailer
  • Operate mechanical cleaning equipment as trained and required
  • Use the correct version controlled documentation and ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately, completely and timely
  • Ensuring that all Health and Safety procedures are always followed and encouraging colleagues to do the same
  • Active reporting of Health and Safety near misses and encouraging colleagues to do the same
  • Build working relationships with other departments
