My client in Peterborough is currently in need of a CNC Miller

My client is a food processing equipment and service provider who manufacturer their own equipment.

Job Purpose:

To manufacture, to our drawings, parts that are supplied to the assembly shop or direct to customers

The Job (Main Duties):

• You will operate manual and CNC milling machines
• You will self-inspect parts produced
• You will work to defined schedule
• Work to planned times
• Maintain a safe and tidy environment in the work area

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• Fully conversant with mills using Haas operating systems
• Flexibility to work night shift (essential); also willingness to work overtime when required
• Able to interpret drawings and specifications
• Attention to quality
• Able to work well within a team environment and to offer improvement ideas
• High degree of self-motivation
• Lean and 5s experience an advantage
• Qualifications:  Have a recognised engineering apprenticeship (DESIRABLE)

Days : Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 16.00 with 30 minute unpaid lunch break; Friday 7.30 -12.30. 

SHIFT : (Some roles will require  a night shift rota and possible weekend work so candidates will need to be open to that if required. This could mean 2 week rota one week days and one week nights for which a nightshift premium will be paid at time and a third).
