Somers Court Extra Care Scheme, Somers Road, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, PE13 2RA, are looking for someone to join their catering team to provide a healthy and enjoyable diet to their residents
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that food preparation is maintained and implement the requirements as set out in The Food Safety Act, Health & Safety at Work Act and other applicable guidance.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene
- Assist in preparation of food
- To ensure all areas of the kitchen are clean and tidy to meet Company standards
- NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in Kitchen Services /Hospitality & Catering
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Undertake pot wash duties and clean area daily
- Ensure restaurants on all units are cleaned of all used crockery and cutlery after meals and returned to the Kitchen for washing
- Check sub-kitchens daily and replenish supplies as required
- Attend and participate in all training sessions and staff meetings as required
- Any other reasonable instruction from the Extra Care Scheme Manager, which is within your area of competence.
Hours of Work
09:30 - 14:30 3 days per week and alternate weekends
All successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check and references.
