Are you a Cook who's passionate and enjoys making wholesome nutritional food? We're looking for a cook, to join our team here at Croham Place Nursing Home, but not just any cook; we want someone who prides themselves in their work, creates tasty nutritional menus, and enjoys being a part of a team. This is a part time role, working Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 15:00, five hours per day, based in South Croydon.

Duties of the Cook/your position will include:

• Preparing tasty nutritional meals (lunch and dinner), following a menu plan, whilst meeting the needs of our culturally and diet specific residents.
• Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment, we all love a squeaky-clean kitchen
• Maintain inventory of kitchen equipment
• Utilise knowledge of HACCP and current food regulations
• Managing the food ordering and stock rotation
• Having a chat with our Service Users to find out what they feel like munching

For you to be successful as Cook for us you will need:

• Good and proven communication skills essential
• Must be able to communicate verbally with vulnerable adults
• You need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as a part of a team (teamwork makes the dream work)

• Flexible with hours of work
• Willingness to learn about CQC/Care Standards
• Must have a minimum of Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate and previous experience of food preparation in a commercial/domestic/hospital setting.
