Downing Care is looking for a Full Time Night Support Worker to join the friendly team at our learning and physical disability care home in Farnborough, Hampshire.

You will be based in our care home, Blue Cedars and provide support for our 6 residents during the night shift. You will ensure their safety and assist them with all their needs during the night. Your will provide general care of the residents and their environment.
You will be in sole charge of the work with one other Night Time Sleep-in Carer present during the shift.
We have introduced a bonus scheme for the successful candidate for the role.
The total amount of the bonus is £1250.00 ( payable over a 6 month period ).
Main duties of our Night Support Worker:
- To perform a successful takeover from the day shift staff at the beginning of each night ( ensuring that any information is passed on to you in the handover notes )
- Preparation of the residents night time routine as per their individual care plans
- Ensure all residents who need assistance with dressing, undressing bathing and toilet duties, have been caringly looked after and their individual bedtime routines are followed
- Administer medication ( full training will be provided )
- Assist our residents with preparation of snacks and drinks during the night
- You will ensure that all residents needs are always met during the shift and that you are vigilant and on call at all times
- You will ensure that the living accommodation is adequately cleaned and ready for the residents morning routine
- You will carry out any domestic duties such as cleaning, washing and ironing
- Ensure that all personal care plans have been updated and any changes read and understood
- You will be required to write any case notes in our electronic care system called PCS ( full training of our system will be given )
- Prepare comprehensive handover notes for the morning shift leader.

This is a full time position with flexibility available ( dependant on your personal circumstance ) for the right candidate.
Good rates of pay starting at £9.50 per hour for candidates with no experience rising up to £10.50 for candidates with qualifications such as Care Certificate / NVQ2.
Non-negotiable requirements:
- This position is subject to a DBS check
- It is a legal requirement ( from the 16th of November ) that we only employ people in our care home who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 therefore evidence of the vaccination needs to be demonstrated.

Blue Cedars
Blue Cedars is a relaxed and secure home set in a peaceful, residential location in Farnborough. It is a 6 bedroom residential care home where we specialise in caring for people with learning and physical disabilities. All bedrooms are single occupancy. The home and the garden are fully wheelchair accessible to accommodate our wheelchair users.
Blue Cedars is a converted double storey residential home. The living accommodation is based on the ground floor with the lounge and kitchen overlooking our enclosed and safe garden. We have 3 bedrooms on the ground floor and further 3 on the first floor.
The home has off street parking available for use to our Night Support Worker.
