Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role of the Maintenance Electrician provides a breakdown / diagnostic service to mainly CNC machining equipment, electrical installation and circuit design to support improvement projects

The job:

  • Provide a breakdown response service to the factory
  • Provide project support by designing and implementing electrical circuits
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Specifying and ordering parts
  • Test electrical circuits
  • Update Industrial electrical infrastructure, e.g. distribution boards, consumer unit
  • Fault Finding including using CNC controls, Fanuc, Heidenhein, Siemens, Allen Bradley
  • Experience repairing CNC lathes, horizontal borers, 5 axis machines, ovens, robots
  • Project work involving electrical design
  • PLC experience

About you

  • Time Served Maintenance Electrician with at least 3 years post apprentice experience
  • 18th Edition Qualification (or equivalent/similar)
  • NVQ Level 3 or ONC in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Flexible to the needs of the business with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Willing to work overtime as and when required
  • Willing to respond to events and adjust hours accordingly
