Employee Relations Advisor for public sector body in Lincolnshire, £26,930-£31,000 + great benefits + hybrid

Hays HR is proud to be working in partnership with a growing organisation in the public sector in Lincolnshire who are looking to appoint an Employee Relations Advisor to support their busy and energetic HR team who pride themselves on their collaborative and supportive culture.

Your new role
As the ER Advisor, your role is vital to the delivery of high quality Employee Relations Services within the organisation and essential in ensuring a fair and consistent approach to employment relations and promoting a positive ER culture.

You will act as the internal escalation and expert advisor on all aspects of ER to enable effective, values-based work relationships with key stakeholders, as well as working in partnership with managers and coaching and advising them on their people issues, providing effective solutions and recommendations.

You will also support key stakeholders through change processes, including TUPE, to ensure all stages of the process are effectively managed, as well as providing advice and guidance on ED&I and wellbeing issues affecting employees.

You will work with and build constructive relationship with Trade Union representatives and employee consultation groups, and collaborate with colleagues in the L&D team to design and deliver workshops to managers on HR topics such as absence management, disciplinary investigations and managing difficult conversations at work.

What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will have proven experience working within an HR or ER Advisory role and have experience of coaching people managers to develop their confidence to deal with ER cases. You will have experience of influencing key stakeholders, including senior leaders, and have worked with Trade Unions.

You will have broad knowledge of UK employment law and its application and ideally be CIPD L5-qualified. You will have the ability to network and cultivate relationships with a range of stakeholders.

You will possess a positive outlook with a can do attitude and strong communication skills. You will be highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and be able to use own initiative to develop methods of work to achieve defined outcomes.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a salary of between £26,930 - £31,000 + generous 19.9% employer contributed pension, 35 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) + day off for your birthday! You will be required in the office 50% of the time and can work from either their offices in Spalding, Boston or Manby.
