HR Manager required for an international, highly successful manufacturing business in Wakefield. This is a site based HR Manager role where you will be responsible for 100 employees on site. Work for a business that has other manufacturing sites in the UK and abroad. You will have a HR administrator reporting to you as well as having further HR support by being part of a wider HR team. The role is a true HR Generalist role.

Based in West Wakefield they role is easily commutable from Huddersfield, Halifax, Leeds, Bradford, Barnsley and surrounding areas
Description
- Overall HR responsibility for the Wakefield manufacturing site
- Supporting and coaching managers in all employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance management and absence management in line with Company procedures and employment legislation
- Overseeing all recruitment and selection activities for the business, ensuring compliance to current legislation is upheld at all times
- Supporting managers in talent management and succession planning
- Leading on any local and corporate HR projects
- Development of local and/or deployment of global policies and procedures as required
- Delivering employee engagement strategies/activities
- Responsible for the management of annual HR life cycle events such as performance management system and compensation review
- Line management of HR and Payroll Administrator
- Manage training budget in liaison with the Site Training & Development Officer
- Ensure maintenance of HR records and data
Profile
- Proven track record as senior and experienced HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Previous HR Generalist experience is essential
- Working knowledge of UK employment law and experience of employee relations is essential
- Must have experience of supporting and coaching Senior and Middle Managers in all HR matters
- Educated to degree level and ideally Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent
- Experience of payroll and compensation and benefits would be an advantage
