Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this niche Business with its HQ in central Reading (near the train / bus stations or with Company paid parking), to recruit an experienced stand-alone Senior HR Advisor / HR Manager for 12-14 months to cover for maternity. This role is full time however comes with very flexible hybrid working.

Reporting directly to a developmental MD, you will partner with Managers across the business on the whole spectrum of generalist HR activities including recruitment, employee relations, engagement, talent management, development, policies and procedures, ways of working, capability etc. This is a true end to end generalist role.

Key Activities

  • Manage full end to end recruitment life cycle, including management of agencies (PSL),
  • selection and interviewing process and assessments
  • Responsible for the effective onboarding of all new employees and ensuring a consistent and
  • great first impression is made
  • Manage all operational HR activities to include the management and maintenance of the HR database
  • Collate and manage the payroll submissions, provide effective communication and
  • management of the payroll service provider
  • Co-ordinating annual salary review, twice yearly incentive process including objective setting,
  • rating, and calibration
  • Manage all employee benefits schemes, such as annual leave, salary sacrifice, pensions,
  • life cover etc, ensuring effective communication is kept in place, liaising with providers and
  • payroll as and when necessary
  • Support, develop and coach Managers in all areas of employee relations, complying with
  • company procedures and best practice
  • Pro-actively collate, monitor and review key people metrics within the business, highlighting
  • trends and issues to leadership team
  • Nurture and champion the business culture across the business, through regular and effective
  • communication through a variety of channels
  • Promote and develop the ethos of an Employee-orientated and engaged workforce, centered
  • around the Company Values and Behaviours
  • Ensuring the business and leadership team are kept abreast of all forthcoming changes in
  • employment law, best practice initiatives and emerging industry trends. Embracing these
  • opportunities and adapting all relevant company policies and procedures accordingly
  • Supporting the management team in the co-ordination of people development plans
  • Work with the business to ensure employees remain engaged and motivated to do their jobs
  • at a high standard
  • Confident engaging with stakeholders across the business and always maintaining a
  • professional and courteous service
  • Manage all exit interviews, collating data and presenting back to leadership team

About You

  • CIPD qualified (or relevant experience) HR Professional, with experience of working in a standalone role
  • Strong drive and self-motivation to help establish and improve best practices
  • Someone able to prioritise and confidently manage conflicting demands
  • Be familiar with employment legislation and the impact / requirements for HR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite
