Example Recruitment Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Plumber to work on a permanent basis on a Local Authority contract. 

To provide a quality service to our clients and tenants, the plumber is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing appliances used for heating/hot water distributions.

Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components

Conduct works on general pipework via various methods e.g. soldering using blow torches, cement, plastic solvents, couplings or caulking

Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls e.g. Power flushing 

Install and commission radiators and hot water circuits when required

Test pipe system and fixtures for leaks by filling with water or air and observing pressure gauges

Identify required tools and special equipment

 Assemble and install valves, heating controls and fittings external to boilers

Drain down and fill open vented and sealed heating systems

Prepare orders for suppliers and hand over to Parts Coordinator/relevant person

Fill out relevant paperwork as and when required

Schedule work in cooperation with other trades and suppliers

 Ensure all Health & Safety standards set by the company and other relevant bodies are adhered to at all times and that all work is carried out within current statutory regulations

To wear protective clothing and equipment as issued and as necessary

To ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle

 To ensure the security and correct operation of equipment supplied, i.e. Tools, vehicles, mobile phones, PDAs.
